Due to the historically unique fact, that a couple of generations can live and present themselves out and openly within a tolerant society,a growing lesbian presence would have to be the expected consequence. but gay men rule the images and topics instead.
Talking about homosexuals, lesbians are usually “meant to be included too.
It´s more favorable to raise “queer” as alternative identity, then to label herself as “lesbian”.
